This photo was taken by zoom from about 2 meters away. I was surprised it came out so clear...my best dragonfly photo thus far, I think. I don't know what kind this one is...anyone able to help?

Hi Joy,
you had the great luck to make this shot of a wonderful dragonfly. I think it must be a Sympetrum flaveolum. The wings are beautiful.
For me it's always very amazing to see one of this interesting flies. I love them and I also have a few of them here.

I think it is a female Sympetrum pedemontanum - Female Banded Darter.
