[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I have been playing with my new macro lens for a short while and I totally love it. I have been posting on TrekEarth for a short while, now its time to post some bugs and stuff over here. The Cherry blossoms have just started to pop out everywhere here is Korea at the moment. The blossoms just aren't beautiful but provide a wealth of insects to shoot. This butterfly was on these flower for less than 5 seconds and I was lucky to get this shot. I think so far with using the macro on insects there is a lot of luck and patience needed.

it's a nice picture you start with.
IMO it's little to much saturated and I'm not sure about the big frame. Good POV and details.

The butterfly it's a Nymphalidae, but I'm not shure about the specie.

This is an interesting POV and composition. I think it would be improved, by cropping off that top 10% of the frame & reducing sat. levels. Well done.

Great capture, Matt. I can see you adjusted shadows and highlights in PS, however you kinda over did the highlights because I can make out the halos around the butterfly's wings. Next time you can use dodge and burn technique to darken the skies and avoid the creating halos. Overall I like the composition, details, and warm tones.
