The Shadows move

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This little critter was interesting as soon as I spotted it. It was difficult to shoot because when shootting the light seemed to disappear making the insect vanish into the bark of the tree it was on. I played with everything on the camera to get good light. Its as if the insect absorbed the light instead of reflecting it back. The insect began to move and started moving up the tree and across an old tyre inner tube tied to the tree. When it did this it became easy to see and shot.
This is one strange insect, if anyone knows what it is please let me know. |

Very strange insect. Never saw it.
Very good on details!
Good DOF!
TFS!
Hi Matt,
Nice shot, your flash has brought out some very nice detail. Good colors and framed well also. I would suggest to use tripod & remote shuttering on small, stationary insects, @ 1/60th, for better sharpness. Well done.
Have a Great Weekend!
