| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Both the Monitor lizard near me and the one in the far right corner have decided to leave for the day. Can you spot the second one? They are urban lizards sunning in a Lake, and and along the street in busy Kandy. They grow over 4 feet log, eating anything, swallowing it whole. They survive quite well. People walk past them all day, they have a mutual pact of ignoring each other. (Their shift for the day must be done, laying out for tourists???? Joking!) |

As I read your note the sirens at our Capetown factory sounded for the change in shifts - coincidental? This guy seems to be quite large.
Thanks for posting
Gloria, they are fascinating creatures. I like the a lot. Pity the tail dropped out of the frame. TFS>
What an interesting photo.
I wish I could go back to Ceylon. Hot as hell. But clean when compared to the rest of India. Its a pity; but fact.
Well composed & very well presented.
Best regards,
Mario.
