[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This Monitor lizard is falling over on his log. He looks like he ate quite well. The monitors swallow their prey whole. They are over 4 feet long often. In Kandy lake, in the middle of a thriving city, are water monitors, all sorts of birds, and flying foxes. The people and wildlife coexist in harmony.

With a tummy like this, no wonder the log rolled over. Nice capture and I like the moment.

Thanks for posting

This has been a good series Gloria sorry for not have had more time to coment on them all individually. this like the other is well seen , and shows a reptile that seems well adpted to its enviorment. Do they help keep down things like Rats or do they go for things like the local chickens?

Is he moving out of the sun or has he eaten too much and fallen asleep? :-) By the size of that bellly he won't be wanting desert.

Gloria,
We should ALL "coexist in harmony".
We, humans, are killing each other just for the sake of
killing.
The animals kill to eat; not us.
We are our own worst enemies.(GREAT IMAGE.)
Best regards,
Mario.
