[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Stick Insect (ตั๊กแตนกิ่งไม้) is a common name for insects in Phasmtodea order.

Kingdom: Animalia
Class: Insecta
Subclass: Pterygota
Infraclass: Neoptera
Superorder: Exopterygota
Order: Phasmatodea

I found this one in the garden of my house in Nakon Nayok. It was walking slowly on top of Cha-plu (ชะพลู)
(Piper sarmentosum Roxb.). Here is to show the stick like feature of this insect.

(Probably - ตั๊กแตนกิ่งไม้การเวก Asceles artabotrys Thanasinchayakul. But this one does not have wings)

Hi Jitti.
Despite I have not free time yet I like to visit your gallery and comment this fine close-up. I have never seen such strange and attractive mantis. I met only one or two species in our places. POV and framing of the these are great as well as natural colours and terrific details of all scene. Well done as usual and TFS.

Hello Jitti !
These insects will never stop to amaze me, their camouflage is so excellent, must ba almost impossible to see them ! But you managed to capture this one is the best way possible - excellent sharpness and details, and each part can be seen very clearly. Nice natural colors, excellent composition, great POV. Very well done !

Hello Jitti,
Amazing these creatures! If you don't look attentively you don't see them. You made a perfect and sharp picture with excellent light-management and a good composition. For me it sounds very exotic to have them in your garden :-)
Take care. Kind regards
Anne

Hello Jitti
As I’m just back from a trip to see my son and two grand-daughters my critiques replies are delayed.
An excellent capture of this Stick Insect that I don't think is a species of mantis as it does not have the predatory front legs.
+: Sharpness, DOF, pose, POV, BG, composition, colours and lighting.
-: none, it portrayes this insect very well.
Thanks and best regards,
Ivan
