A Russet Percher (Neurothemis fulvia) found at the park HQ near Krung Ching waterfall in Khao Lung National Park.
This is apparently a fairly common species through South-east Asia, with records from China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, India, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand.

Wow, that is really beautiful! Ou've done very well considering the difficult background - a lovely pose which is pretty sharp and the colour is lovely.

This is an interesting species of the dragonflies, Chris. I had mistakenly identified a Neurothemis variegata for this one when I posted my first picture of it here on the TN.
The wings of this species are as spectacular as those of a variegata.
