This is a really beautiful photo. I like the fairytale like green colours of tha background and the contrasting flower with the butterfly. Amazingly beautiful.

This technically a perfect photo with great sharpness, PP-work and crop.

The frame is a bit unnecessary and just steals some space from the lovely subject. A bit short note too if you ask me... ;o)

Outstanding image!
it's really very good!
I like so much the high quality of it, the DOF is simple great, with that butterfly on the flower at the back, so nicely blurred.
The colour saturation is remarkable, you had a very good light and don't let it go away...
The pose on the insect is so good one, and got it with excellent sharpness.
I'll be following your next post. If this is the one, can't figured out how would be the next ones.

This is a splendid macro shot from you!
I really love the beautiful composition here as well as the side POV. This latter one really gave you an exceptional angle to shoot this beautiful butterfly and also gave you plenty of BG clearance.
The details are razor-sharp and the DOF is very well managed here.

What a great pleasure to see your wonderful picture! The atmosphere here is excellent! I love your low POV and the effect the OOF vegetation created. Very beautiful! I think you were very happy to visit an exotic country as a wildlife photographer!


Composition:

As a composition, this is excellent! You placed the butterfly in a powerful point of the composition and distributed the empty space very well. I just wonder why haven't you cropped the lower part of the picture so that you get a tighter framing? This would have allowed us to see better the details in the butterfly. The OOF background is perfect to isolate the subject and the blurred plants just give us a hint on the insect's environment. I appreciate the perfect profile silhouette that stands out so greatly. The action of the butterfly is clearly shown in this shot! Well done!

Colors:

An excellent presentation of these beautiful, complimentary red and green colors! They emphasize each other perfectly. By setting the white balance for warmer colors you created a more appealing picture. The saturation is also adjusted for maximum impact!

Contrast:

The good contrast in the subjects is enhanced by the great chromatic contrast between complimentary colors.

Exposure:

I don't think there were problems exposing this scene. Rather chasing the butterfly must have been more demanding. The details look excellent, with no over- or underexposed areas. The shadows are soft which indicates the picture was not taken under strong direct sunlight. Great job!

Focus:

Very good focus on the butterfly! This rendered great details with no sharpness fall-off on the subject. The well controlled DOF took care that nothing disturbing interfered with the subjects.

An excellent picture from far away! Unfortunately I can't help with the butterfly's ID. Thanks for sharing!

Amazing sharpness and clarity. Perfect exposure. Beautiful rich colors with nice blurred soft green background and excellent DOF. The light hits the flower and butterfly in just the right places. I do not know how you could improve on this.

That's not so much for such a long trip :)

Serious now..........This is one of the most wonderful composed and lighted butterfly images I've ever seen.
A real beauty this is.
Like I already did mention, light is most wonderful and clors are very, very beautiful., but what I like most in this great Dryas Julia image is the returning form and colors of the butterfly in the out of focus flower on the left in the background.
