Welcome to TN Mark, a very intresting detail image you chose to post, a very sad looking eye that is well seen even in the dark conditions you obviously had to work with, no obvious problems I can see but better people than me may say differently.
What is missing though are the informative notes, especially about the place you took the shot and any thing you did to prepare it for veiwing here on TN.
Have you looked at the guidelines for writting notes there is a shortcut to it above the photographers notes area.
Hope this is of use yours Robert

It is a good detail photo, the texture is perfect. Wish it was less of a flash in the eye ...

Hi Mark! Welcome to TN! You did capture a good frame here, the sad eye and the skin contour made a good composition, but as Robert said, I wish there was a note, perhaps you could edit and add on the note ? Thanks for sharing

This is an excellent posting Mark. I feel quite moved, looking at that woeful, and weary looking eye. The POV of this shot cropped in tight like this works amazingly well, and to my mind, speaks volumes that perhaps the original wouldn't hint at...
Beautifully composed, and well done! Thank you for sharing it with us, and a belated welcome to TN.

Magnificient shot! The composition with position of the eye is awsum. Looks like tears are running down the eyes of this intelligent animal. Good colours and sharply focussed. Excellent work.

Hello Mark,
very nice and detailed picture.
It shows some of the fine sensitivity that is hidden inside these huge bodies.
Most people only see their size and don't care about their intelligence and ability to care and act so gentle.
I really hope that somwhere in heaven there is a own paradise - for elephants only.
