Common Name: Eurasian Tree-Sparrow (นกกระจอกบ้าน)

The Tree Sparrow, Passer montanus, is the Native of Europe and much of Asia.
It was introduced to Australia, and the United States (where it is known as the Eurasian Tree Sparrow or German Sparrow to differentiate it from the native, unrelated American Tree Sparrow).

Identification
The Tree Sparrow is 12.5–14 cm long. The adult's crown and nape are rich chestnut, and on the white cheeks and ear-coverts there is a triangular black patch; the chin and throat are black. Two distinct though narrow white bars cross the brown wings. In summer the bill is lead-blue, and in winter almost black. The legs are pale brown and the irides hazel. The sexes are practically alike.
The young, even in the nest, closely resemble their parents. They are said to be duller, and the face pattern is less distinct. The breast and belly are browner than in the adult.

Hello Jitti,
We are neighbours today!
We had Tree Sparrows in our garden today but I didn't take any shots of them as my camera was indoors. So it's nice that you made this capture of a couple busy searching for food in the grass. The one in focus has a nice pose and the two are well composed together.
Thanks for sharing this one,
Ivan

Tree Sparrows are decidedly different from the House Sparrows, JC, as your image shows clearly. They have a rich dark colour which you have captured well in this shot.
TFS and regards.
Ram

I didnt know they occured in Oriental region. Nice capture.

Ümit

Hi Jiiti.
Amazing sparrow picture. Only it is a pity a bit that one of them was too mobile. However the image of second sparrow are terrific. Its proud pose is perfect as well as the details and sharpness of the image. I like green grass surroundings too. Bravo and best wishes.
Alexei.

Hi Jitti,
Wonderful shot of these Tree Sparrows and I like the treatment in your shot. Very impressive sharpness and spot-on focus making the FG sparrow blurred. Lovely colours and the muted lighting gives a fine effect. Interesting to note the difference with the house sparrow. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
TFS.

Hello Jitti !
Wow, this is the same bird as in my country ! :-) The Sparrow is very common here too. I like this picture showing a pair of them. The bird which is in focus has many beautiful details. Also natural colors, excellent composition and POV, nice pose of the birds. Very well done !
