Blue Rock-thrush
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| This is a Blue Rock-Thrush (Monticola solitarius) a reasonably common winter visitor to most of Thailand, where it inhabits open rocky areas, especially along the coast and in limestone areas up to 1600m. Rooftops are another common habitat this species exploits and we found a pair frequenting the large visitor centre and restaurant complex in the centre of Khao Yai NP. Here foraged for scraps that people left around the eating areas. |

Hello Chris,
Very beautiful photo of this Blue Rock-thrush.
Excellent lighting,
Fine details and excellent sharpness,
Thank you for sharing,
Seyfi.
Hallo Chris
A super image from your lens. This bird is captured in a pretty perfect and lovely pose. It is surely a super model, and I like the way its head is turned sideways, but its body is facing the front. This way one can observe and admire the details of its frontal view as well as the finer details in the face area from the side. The eye and the almost shiny paws is a definite attraction. The green background emphasise the details of the dark feathers beautifully. Kind regards and thanks for sharing.
