Hi Sabine!
Gautama the Buddha, a.k.a Siddharatha, was a prince by birth. The kingdom was named Kapilavastu in the foothills of the present day Nepal. Maybe he was born under a tree! History or legend says he reached the state of enlightenment while meditating under a banyan tree which is also know as Bodhi Vriksha or the Tree of Enlightenment.
Anyway, myth and history are rarely in agreement with each other.
Be that as it may, the picture you have posted here is truly remarkable in every respect. Thanks for sharing it.

It was strange to me you posting cultivated cultivated plants, I had to read where this was taken to see I was wrong.
What a beautiful and unusual shape for this specimen.
Colours, lights and tight crop, makes a nice 3D effect. Great details too. TFS.

Nice shot, I like the tight cropping. Soft light is beautifull. The BG shows soft texture but is so blur that the flowrer looks almost 3D. Focus and exposure are perfect.
