Thanks for all the suggestions.Black Headed gulls (Larus ridibundus, mostly adult with some juveniles, feeding and pruning in the evening light. I have tried to crop the picture according to the suggestions.I realise that a lower angle would have been better, but in this case it would have been rather difficult as it is a tidal plain, and the black headed gulls are actually standing extremely fine clay. Next time perhaps.
