You choosed a beautifull one for this aniversary! The only thing I love more than butterflies photos are the butterfiles photos taken in their natural habitat. I enjoy this more than any other shot of this butterfly taken in some European or North American greenhouse!

Hallo Chris,
that's Parthenos sylvia - live. The details of the wing pattern and the colours are presented in a clear and 'natural' manner. I am particularly interested in the picture because it shows once more the wing pattern variability of this species which occurs from India through south-east Asia to Papua New Guinea. Many different subspecies have been described so far. An excellent picture!
