[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
A boardwalk takes you out over the crystal clear pale turquoise Crystal Pool near Klong Thom, about an hours drive from Krabi. It’s very beautiful and there are numerous fish swimming through pool which is about 50m in diameter and fed by a natural spring (I’ve put a shot in the workshop).

There were numerous dragonflies flitting about the edges of the pool, but they were all out of reach of my camera except for this beautiful pink one, which I think is a male (Trithemis aurora).

It was very nervous and I had to wait a long time before it settled enough for me to get a few shots. Thus the result is not perfect, but I decide to post it simply because I think its colour is beautiful.

WOW! The colors of this dragonfly are amazing! So beautiful!

I also think that the place you found it in is also a delight to one's mind. Am i right? :)

Hello Chris,
I agree that with the limited DOF the result is not perfect, but you made the right decision to focus on the center and the POV is unusual. This, together with the blue BG makes it an atractive shot.

Beautiful dragonfly in natural settings. Great pov, dof, exposure. Also the picture in workshop just marvelous. The place is really pretty. Is this your second trip to this area?

This one looks very similiar to one of our species except its colour - pink not blue. I like diagonal composition, good details and first of all refreshing POV.

I like the pink colour of this dragonfly. I think this is a rare species you have captured in Thailand.
Good perspective from the rear that offers a clear view of its pink body and wings.

Elle est superbe cette prise de vue en Macro. Les couleurs sont merveilleuses,les détails et l'éclairage sont parfaits .Le fond gris du vieux bois rend bien la couleur de la libellule.
