[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This time we to Thailand at the end of the monsoon. The weather was generally OK, though it usually rained for an hour or so each day and again at night. The grey skies were a stark contrast to brilliant blue skies when we were here last (April). Nevertheless, we knew in advance that this is what it was going to be like, so I can’t really complain.

We spent the best part of day out on the very beautiful Poda Island, a 20 min boat ride from Ao Nang near Krabi. By going in the off season we had the island to ourselves on the only really sunny day of our trip. It was magic, nobody around, warm turquoise water to swim in, plenty of trees to slumber under, large sand crabs digging holes in the beach, multicoloured birds flitting through trees, a gentle breeze keeping the temperature just right........are you jealous yet? :)

Anyway, all too soon it was time to head back to the mainland. As we left a storm developed out of nowhere, almost as if mother nature was angry we were leaving her gift of paradise. Not long after I took this shot the seas turned murky and water became very choppy, luckily we had a good boatman and he got us back to the mainland without much fuss.

Thanks for looking

Have a good time Aga

Hello Chris,
This is truly a paradise. Clear turquoise water, white sands, and warm weather. Here the sea begin to get rough with dark stormy clouds in the backgroud. You showed well. TFS.

Hi Chris.
Your picture looks like painted. Very nice delicate colour palette and reflection the atmosphere of the storm. Exposure and lighting are perfect too. My best regards and TFS,
Alexei.

Hi Chris,
A great capture! I think the thumbnail doesnt do this shot justice which is why it hasnt received more attention than it should. The omnimous clouds are wonderful. Good sharpness on the boat and nice colours of the water. I would clone out the rope that is on the right hand side however. I'm not a huge fan of square crops but i think it works in this case.
Well done, great shot!
TFS

Hi Chris,
Indeed an impressive place - and the title fits it very well.
Your note does make me jealous especially having winter just around the corner.
Decided to try a workshop to make things more dramatic - hope you don't mind.
TFS - Shir

Look like a storm is on its way here, nice shot, good comp.

Chris, nice colors in this one.

A beautiful sea in this rather artistic shot. I like composition a lot too.
