[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken up in a mountain along Malaysian East West Highway R&R. The scenery was nothing but greens, of forests and mountains. I was looking at a tall grass patches nearby. Out of it I could see this fern exist among the tall green grass.
It is quite a big species, the King Ferns.

This King Ferns
• They are found in Asia, where their huge size has resulted in them being known as 'elephant ferns'.
• It appears to be a very ancient, relatively unchanged genus, for Angiopteris fossils have been found that are several hundred million years old.
• Their enormous size means they have to live in very wet areas to retain turgor to keep their fronds erect.
• Thus this plant is very restricted in where it can live, which is usually only near waterfalls, along creeks and in gullies in well-developed rainforest.

Wonderful shot of this coiled-up Fern. Very impressive sharpness and colours and I like the natural green surrounding. Superb lighting and exposure and I like its interesting shape and the way it stands out. excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
