[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Indian Peacock, I took this picture at Bandipur wild life park. As the safari jeep got closer to the bird it turned and started moving away. You may notice that the long beautiful feathers are not there in this case. I have used sigma 100-300 lens. Evening lighting was poor, and was dull cloudy weather with intermittent rain. I have used ISO 400 speed.

Hi Amar,

A beautiful bird. This male is a little moulted but is beautiful. I never seen on television one coverage about this bird in the natural habitat. I don't know why? It is a very interesting species.

I want to see this bitd in the natural habitat but the India is so far from Romania. I love this bird, I breed this bird in my little peafowlfarm, is my passion. I have a website (www.fermadepauni.ro what meens peafoulfarm in Romanian laguage). You can see some photo in director GALERIE FOTO (photo gallery). I hope you like it.

All the best and TFS.

Hello Amar, Well done and well shot. I some how love this bird for the elegant and the way they fly. They can fly at any distance carrying the weight of the feather. Well done Ganesh

Hello Amar,
Very subtle picture and excellent composition. The fine vegetation gives a poetical touch to this artistic shot. The thumbnail unfortunately doesn't announce this little jewel.
Best regards
Anne
