[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This little Rock Chat is now on its way to take off. Where it want to go? Is in search of food? Or it wants to find a better place than this pole. Yesterday (19th August) was World Photographic Day. The day to highlight the creations, the contributions came from the photographers since photography was invented. The journey was took off in 500 B.C. Mo Tsu experimented with a ‘Pin-Hole’. It was the first stage. On second stage, 1816-1879, we came to know about Daguerreotypes and Talbottypes. And then , one after another… in 1888-89 Eastman’s creation supposed to be the great journey of photography when the subject became “For public” by introducing Kodak Box Camera and transparent celluloid film. Like this bird the photography also took off for a long journey… film to digital and so on. But some questions are still on the deck. What is Photography? A documentation with style and sense of art or some trick works now more popular due to introduction of digital process where the truth of photography became a question? Like this poor bird – do we know how far we, the photographers will be truthful to our works?

A fine brown colour, clashing with the hard cement structure...giving good example of nature and human. One flies, the other has not even instinct. Your notes about photography are interesting. My "brother" David T, went to East School for a year....in medical photography. What made it so special was that David was "Legally blind". He had a certain amount of sight but very little and yet he went on to get us our first real newspaper work...Eastmans work in the field was terrific. And I built a pinhole camera...actually more than once...I was always an explorer..that kind of kid that put his hands where normal kids shouldn't go...like in light sockets:-)..your note and image go well together...

Hello Partha Sir, It is interesting to see the place the bird is resting. I am not sure whether it is taking off or just landed and adjusting the position. Probably it is a service engineer and observing the location carefully. probably a photographer and looking for the view and exposure. Well presented and you have an unique way of presenting. Good show. TFS Ganesh
