[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This spider lives in my yard here in South Korea. I have searched the web for the past two hours to find out the name of this spider, but to no avail. If anyone knows anything about it, please let me know.

I took this photo with my new Panasonic Lumix FZ30. I'm just learning with it, and also with photoshop. I did some cropping, sharpening, softening, and cloning to the picture. Hope you all like it.

Very good macro, Joy.
Well composed, nice colours and good details.
The DOF is good, maybe little too good. Sometime is it better to use bigger aperture to get the subject isolated from the BG. Normally you will have a very good DOF, as in this case, for macros.
Well done.

Very nice shot, well exposed and sharp. The background is a little bit disturbing.
I think this is a species of Nephila, AKA orb weavers or Giant Wood spiders. You might want to check the net with those clues.

She is an Orb Spider(Nephila clavata) and if you look very closely at the web you may find a very much smaller spider that might possibly be the male.
Paul :)
