No, this image was not captured in Africa, but in Bahamas. I took it while visiting Ardastra Gardens in Nassau, on the New Providence Island.
The meerkat was watching for predators from a high point. It was so busy so it almost did not see me.
Ardastra Gardens is a small place close to Nassau where some animals enjoy more freedom than they would normally do in a Zoo.
The picture was shot in NEF (Nikon's RAW format), then slightly manipulated in terms of brightness, contrast and colours in Nikon Capture NX. |
