| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| Anolis scriptus (Turks & Caicos anole) was photographed on South Caicos Island, Turks and Caicos Islands (I filled in Bahamas because it was the nearest country). It was hatched very recently and was approximately 3 cm in total length. Unlike the adults, it was completely unafraid of me, and showed its pattern nicely. Adults of this species are quite large (up to 15 cm) and exhibit color changes from jet-black (males only), grey, yellow, green, and brown. |
