[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
On this day we went to Mountain Pine Ridge, a large pine forest south of San Ignacio. We saw many great birds here including seven species of woodpecker and this attractive Rusty Sparrow (Aimophila rufescens).

This species is found between 500 and 1500 meters in open woodland with a good shrub layer in central Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, northern Nicaragua and isolated populations in Belize. Costa Rica.

Hola Chris,
Bonito retrato de este pequeño pajarillo, que nos muestras con gran definición, detalle y excelente iluminación. Saludos
José Ramón

Hi Chris,
Good record. The isolated population in Belize is generally considered to be somewhat more to the South - but there is no mistaking the identity of this particular bird - in spite of the paucity of information regarding the range interfaces of the various races - this should be discolor (though on gross morphology this looks like pyrgitoides - will have to find a description for discolor). Thanks for the fine photo!

Nice POV and pose Chris, good details & color.
So you went to Mexico on vacation? How was it then?
TFS this beautiful sparrow from your trip,
Howard

Hello Chris, well done on that nice bird, the details are sharp, the pose is nice and the composition is very good. It's bit dark though on my monitor here and I made a workshop, hope you don't mind. Great shot my friend. Thanks,

Mario

Hi Chris,

Beautiful composition, I really like those branches going in different ways, it frames well the image. Lovely background that matches very well with the subject. Well done!

Hello Chris,
Splendid composition with superb sharpness and lovely background. I do like Marios' workshop as it lightens the image up but you were there. Thank you for sharing Chris.
Rick
