This is a clear, sharp pic of this interesting bird. Its always nice to see pics of habitat specialists like acorn woodpeckers - quite likely the types that will be most affected by climate change and habitat loss.

This is a very beautiful species of Woodpecker, I don't think I have ever seen it before. His pose is great, too, I wonder what he is looking at with such intensity. Nice natural colors, excellent details, pefect composition, and It's also nice to see parts of the tree where you have found him. Very well done !
