Hello Chris,
This fine capture of a Blue-grey Tanager evokes memories. When we were in Trinidad about 12 years ago we got pretty close views of a pair of this species and took some slides of them. As they weren't anything like as good as this they weren't worth scanning. But this sharp and well composed shot that is nicely isolated from the BG is a delight to see!
I'm taking it in to my favourites and I thank you for sharing this beauty.

A very good capture!
This bird is very common here in my country, in fact I have a lot of them in the tree in front of my window, but my 70-300 is not enough to reach them.
You've got a great pose, in which we can appreciate how it looks like.
The soft and blurred background works great to stand out all the beauty of the tiny bird.

Hello Chris!
This is a very artistic picture! Mosaic of colours makes this picture very unique. On the other hand there are delicate tones of blue (the bird), on the other - fantastic blurred green BG.
Moreover, sharpness and details of the main object make fantastic contrast with the rest of the photo.
Only the note would be a little longer as for me, but it is just a small detail :)

Hi Chris

Another great shot taken from you in your lovely trip to Central America!
I really like the fantastic contrast here between the bird and the BG - it really does pop it out really well.
The details on the tanager are really nice and sharp and i really love what you did here with the flash - the shadows are nicely faded and that catchlight in its eye is terrific!
Very well composed and exposed as well!
