[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a cloud forest in Costa Rica. I took this image with a Hoya R72 filter on a D200. The image is unchanged (my wide angle and the filter creates natural vignettes) except for conversion to B&W. I set the image on a tripod. manually focused. added the infrared filter. Switched WB to PRE. Got out my Expodisc white balance filter. Set white balance manually. Took off the expodisc, leaving only the R72 filter on the camera. I took this shot pointed straight towards the sun (that's it in the centre top part of the image) for about 45 seconds at 1:00 p.m. I used a 12-24mm wide angle lens.
