[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
At 3am somebody was knocking on our door saying we need to get ready for the bird watching tour...at 3am I thought somebody must be kidding, I thought of staying in bed but since I wasn't alone, I decided to get myself out there and make the best out of it. Little did I know that I was up for a treat... I hope you'll enjoy some of the things I tried to capture like this beautiful sunrise, the sun is just about to pop over the palm trees on the horizon.
I love nature and I enjoy taking pictures, although they are more for myself than anybody else, I have no proper training and most of the pictures are taken on the "auto mode" I'd like to learn and one day take some photography classes... anyway... enjoy the show, a picture a day ;))

Dear Edita,
Welcome to TrekNature,
I hope, you will enjoy your membership as much as I do. I joined on 10 September and have learned a lot in the short time...

The first photo - which you exhibit - is an interesting landscape.

You do not need to apologise for using automatic setting - most people do! There are just little tricks, which will help you to get better photos.

First, decide on the "object" - then try to fill the frame. This is not easy on a Birding Trip! The serious Birdwatchers will kill you - if you move - while they are watching a special appearance, because it will fly away.

Secondly look out for "unwanted bits"; in this case in the bottom left corner (what looks like a car boot/bumper).

Thirdly try to point the lens at the dark areas (in this case the other side of the river) and avoid pointing at the sky. If your camera allows this, you could even point at the dark area, hold "the exposure" then point the lens into the desired direction.
If you have an editing program on your computer, you could lighten the dark areas, and the beautiful green will appear, where at present the viewer sees only a dark band. Add a bit of contrast to the sky and you have a picture showing the "atmosphere" at 3 am.
Good luck, enjoy the rest of your week. I am looking forward to see other pictures from you.

Kind regards
Ingrid
