I saw this wonderful creature in a park in Cahuita (Costa Rica). I guess it's a sort of basilisk but I'm not quite sure. It's not the so called "Jesus Christ Lizard" but probably related. Does anybody know the exact name of this basilisk?

Hello Zeno,
This is one of the strangest creatures that I have seen so far! It looks so unreal to me :) You captured excellent details and pose from this weird animal. It is hard from me to see how it works as it looks like it has no neck... This is very interesting. TFS'

Hello Zeno,
What a fabulous lizard and a superb shot in great sharpness and bright colours. I like his pose and the hat he's wearing. It would be great to see all of him as well? What size was he?
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Hello Zeno,
No idea about the ID, but I do like the image. Never saw this one before, I guess. Very impressive and extraordinary.
Well done

bonjour zeno
etrange,au premier coup d'oeil j'ai cru qu'il manquait un bout de l'animal mais en fait il a le coup tres fin ce qui tranche avec sa crete sur la tête.
belle couleur et bon piqué.

Hi Zeno,

What an unusual lizard. I have never seen it before. Very good lighting, composition and nicely isolated from the BG. Very well done.

Hi Zeno, this is amazing - I don't know the name however. The pov is wonderful and your focus and sharpness is excellent. Magnificent array of colours and tones. It looks surreal, must be a prize winner here. Great catch.

Hello Zeno,
Once again I know this one by heart, it is called the Green-crested Basilisk basiliscus plumifrons), and a great picture showing off the crest very well. :)
