Great Kiskadee
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| The Great Kiskadee is one of the largest of the flycatchers. It is brown above and yellow below with a bold white throat and stripe above the eye. It has an obscured yellow cap which it displays more frequently than other flycatchers. It is noisy (kiskadee reflecting its call) and an opportunist feeder. Feeds predominantly on invertebrates but will also take berries and other prey, even diving for small fish and tadpoles. It is easy to see in open habitation of the lowlands and up to mid-elevation throughout the country. |

What a pretty bird. Nice composition with good detail and very nice DOF. There's a bit of washout on the throat and upper breast, but still, overall, a very nice image.
