Well you know the old saying, “two’s company, three’s a crowd”.
These two macaws were having a real squabble, both in the air and in the trees. It went on for over 15 minutes, great fun to watch. I image being bitten on the rear end by another macaw would have caused quite a bit of damage. Eventually they flew off as the storm got closer.

For information on these macaws, please see my previous post (here.)

Hi Chris,
Very cool :)
The macaws are so brilliantly colored, they make great inflight subjects. What I like most is the action content, with the three exceptional inflight poses.

Hi Chris,

Ouch is right! You did a great job getting all three in the frame. And with such good detail. Colors are magnificent. The third Macaw seems oblivious to what is happening. Great timing to get this one.

Such beautiful birds, these Macaws, Chris!
You have shot three of them in action in the air, especially those two having a row.
At 1/2000, the birds are captured in perfect focus. The colours too are brilliant.
During my three years in Kuwait, I used to admire these birds in a shop that sold them as pets. However, I would also feel upset about them being caged.
Thanks for yet another wonderful picture taken during your sojourn in South America.

Bonjour Chris
Bel envol, pris sur le vif.
Merci pour ce beau spectacle
Amicalement
