Hi Ralf,
First of all I must say this a nice shot. Yestarday while coming from Berlin Zoo I saw picture of this bird but I do not see it physically. What I saw Cannnel-billed Toucan. I will post that later.

This is a lovely shot with fantastic colours and well composed. I have only one very minor criticism. To the left of the bird at neck height there is a small black mark on one of the leaves of the plant. It looks like it might have been dirt on the sensor perhaps. Given the otherwise perfection of the backgroud, I would be inclined to clone that bit out as it is just a little bit distracting.

What a colorful shot. The details on the toucan are fantastic, and I like the way it is standing in front of this palm frond with leaves radiating out.
Focus, exposure, DOF are all excellent.
Wish the toucan had turned his head just a bit, so we could have seen more of his face. Oh well... such are the challenges of wildlife photography.
