This dragonfly is quite probably a Great Pondhawk, Erythemis vesiculosa (Libellulidae, Sympetrinae), a widespread species occurrying from the southern U.S. south to Argentina.

Spectacular green dragonfly.

I really have to say that the colour of this draginfly is unusual! In Europe there are a few green (but metallic) species but this one is interesting. Nice POV, but a DOF is not perfect (only the head and especially eyes are ok).
Anyway, nice picture :)
