| This is the third post of scenes from my climb of Volcan Pacaya in Guatemala. The volcano has been venting continously for several months often sending out fresh lava flows, so I doubt that this formation is more than a year or so old. The lava is thick (see note on my first post) but turbulent enough to leave this striking formation of sharp and angular volcanic rock. |
