[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is a Snowy Egret, otherwise known sometimes as White Gaulin, and formally Egretta thula. Member of the heron family. Quite common in Jamaica and often as with most herons, around water.
I had been taking pictures of it wading and it took off, so then it was a challenge to my new Nikon D300 and zoom lens to capture it in flight.
