The red billed steamertail is an endemic hummingbird of Jamaica. It is not an uncommon species here. The Jamaicans call him, because of its long split tail, 'doctor bird'.
The picture is taken in the garden of the isolated and beautiful hotel 'star chalets', in the Blue Mountains. |
