C. capucinus - flexible in habitat choice. This species has been found in a variety of forest types in Costa Rica& Panama. C. capucinus has been found in nearly every type of forest as well as mangroves and sparsely forested areas. The diet is extremely varied and includes fruits, nuts, berries, seeds, flowers, buds, shoots, bark, gums, insects, arachnids, eggs, small vertebrates, and even some marine life including oysters and crabs.
In Punta Burica- coastal area, where C. capucinus is not hunted, group size ranged from 10-30 individuals.
C. capucinus reaches full size and sexual maturity at 4 years for females and 8 years for males. Captive animals have been recorded to live to more than 46 years old. |

The detail is there but it looks a little bit over exposed in the face. Increasing highlights can recover some of this, but cloning is needed to recontruct the face. Did a workshop to show what I was talking about.

This is a beautiful White-face or White-throated Capuchin (Cebus capucinus) I've encounter in the wild both Central & South America. I've also seen them living sympatrically with squirrel monkeys in Peru. Paul :)
