It is such a shame to all mankind that we made this magnificent species extinct. Indeed a pity.
About the picture - it is very well done, with great colors and POV...at least we have such nice memories of this beautiful toad.

Good photo of a beautiful amphibian Luis.
I guess this can be quite camouflaged in its natural habitat.
I presume this one was bred in captivity.
Often it is the only way some of these rare species survive now.

I as a frog and toad enthusiast really appreciate this one, the golden Panama frog is a sad story and efforts to save this frog seem grim, there are organizations trying desperately to save them at this very momment. There are also a few established colonies in collections in case they are extirpated from the wild. Hopefully Panama in joined efforts with other countries that are facing the same issue, can reverse the negative impact that these beautiful amphibians are facing. To this day in Panama 8 families of amphibians have died from the infectious disease called chytridiomycosis. Your photo is both beautiful yet sad. TFS. :(
