Hi Richard

Superb macro shot of the Morpho, superbly composed and I love the way the Butterfly really fills the frame so all our attention is drwan to the beautiful markings, nice sharp detail with well saturated colours set against the vivid green leafy BG, nice light too.

Hello Richard,
Yes, it is difficult to capture morphos with their wings open, but I managed one of a female peleides in Trinidad, unfortunately long before digital cameras.
This is excellent, both as a shot of the underside, nice and sharp, and a fine tribute to our friend Sumon.

Hallo Richard
What a wonderful display of colours and patterns in one. The view of this butterfly with closed wings is a totally different view to when it is open winged. I cannot believe it is the same butterfly. I like the view in which you have photographed the butterfly. The lighting is perfect and also the focus. The butterfly is placed precisely right in the frame and the colours and markings are superb and can easily go through as a hand painted job. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day.
