Hi Pat.
What a charming scene of the flying beauty and so fine plant and flower. The colouration of your picture is fantastic and sweet. Combination of sharp parts of the image and blurriness of the BG is superb too. I am impressed with great fill flash work. Bravo. Perfect job.

A splendid shot of the humming bird with lovely eye conatct and details on the body showing off great contrasts of colour.The red of the flower and the green sheen on the body of the bird works fantastically well.

Good to see you back! A beautiful hummingbird with his eye on the pretty flower. You froze him perfectly in-flight or hovering. Beautiful colors of the bird and the flower. Fine details of this Ruby Topaz which I have not seen before.

Quelle magnifique photo! Elle n'a pas dû être facile à prendre car je crois qu'un colibri a la bougeotte! La netteté est excellente et la fleur rouge si "pétante" attire aussi bien notre oeil que ce colibri! Tu as vraiment bien "capturé" cet instant!

Hello Pat
You have done super well here to use the flash to freeze the bird at such a low shutter speed which I am guessing is the default setting on the d300 for a hotshoe flash.
Great use of the flash not to darken the bg or overexpose the flower and leaves....Top shot Sir.

Bonjour Pat, j'étais étonnée de voir que tu postes une photo de colibri et j'ai vu Cuba, pays du rhum... tu as sûrement eu de belles vacances! Je suis aussi étonnée de la vitesse pour cette photo, 1/200 et les ailes et le mouvement de l'oiseau sont très nets, wow! J'aime beaucoup les couleurs et la lumière de cette photo et la composition dans le cadre, numéro un. Comme toujours, une belle photo très bien maîtrisée, merci!

Just a wonderful shot of this Ruby topaz hummingbird, the details in both the hummingbird and the flower and leaf are just stunning, the OOF background looks excellent with the different tones, so well framed, just beautiful.

Hi Pat

A lovely capture of this little hummingbird. It looks like it got the air brakes on with that tail feathers spread open like that.

An excellent composition with the bird in the lower left hand corner looking up at the priced trophy, the red flower with the wanted nectar up at the top right hand corner. Good work with the fill-in flash ensured a superb exposure which looks very natural and well balanced.

ps:de memoire il me semble que tu a un 80-400 de chez nikkor le piqué est-il bon et fonctionne t'il bien avec un convertisseur?(enfin si tu as essayé)
