Red-legged Thrush (Turdus plumbeus)
If there would be a beauty contest among thrushes, this one would stand a good chance to score high (even though I would still vote for the European Blackbird!).
This Caribbean species is ideal for photography as it tends to sit tight in one spot for a long time (as this one did). Problem is that such spots tend to be in the dense underbrush and are quite shady. I still find using a flash very tricky. |
