[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Mobula Ray ( Mobula sp. ) - Drake Bay, Osa Peninsula

Manta and mobula rays are in the same family, their appearance is similar but mobulas are smaller than the manta rays. They are found in tropical oceans worldwide and can breach up to 2 meters.

mantas and mobulas are also called devil rays, probably by people who haven't seen them 'flying' slowly in the water like angels.

Hello Sarp! Great scene. Fantastic dynamic shot. Well done!

Hello Sarp and welcome,

Very nice and interesting picture. Good focus.
Cheers,
Mariki

Very interesting capture. I liked the way the water and the sky merge and lets the Mobula ray stand out. Excellent work!

Excelente imagen.
Buena oportunidad, enfoque perfecto.
Personalmente no me gusta el recuadro, me parece que es demasiado grande para una linda fotografía.

Maravilhosa sua foto.

Hi Sarp

What an amazing capture. I've never heard or seen ray jumping out of the water before. Fantastic, TFS.

Excellent composition
Good sharpness
Good DOF
Good POV

Chris

Interesting. I had no idea those could jump. Actually why not: those are fish like any other.
Very unique catch.
If one is unexpectedly jumping I don't thing anyone is fast enough to grab the camera and shoot. Could you predict it will jump? Has it been jumping a few times?
In any case, still very impressive pic.
