Coccinellidae is a family of beetles, known variously as ladybirds (English English, Australian English, South African English), ladybugs (North American English) or lady beetles (preferred by scientists).
They are considered useful insects as many species feed on aphids or scale insects, which are pests in gardens, agricultural fields, orchards, and similar places. Because they are useful, colourful, and harmless to humans, coccinellids are typically considered appealing even by people who hate most insects, though a few species are pests in North America and Europe. Some people consider seeing them or having them land on one's body to be a sign of good luck to come, and that killing them presages bad luck. |

Hello Lenka,
What a gorgeous image you are showing us here.
Looks like a great art work with the fantastic color contrat between the reds of the ladybird and the out of focus big yellow spot of a flower in the background wich works like some kind of spotlight.
Technically flawless image with perfect sharpness, lighting and composition.
Details and soft background are wonderful and the small bug on the left side adds to the image and is a lovely extra.
Excellent work. My compliments.
A real joy to look at.
Thanks for sharing and the great note.
Have a nice Sunday,
Harry

This is a very unique shot Lenka. I think just a tad bit more depth of field on the foliage would have been interesting. The insects are so sharp! Can I see you in the reflection? Nice exposure and color.

Has creado un pequeño y maravilloso mundo con dos simples insectos y una pequeña planta, eso sí, trabajados con maestría y logrando una foto preciosa. El color y la textura de los dos insectos es preciosa. Bonitos colores. Toma muy atractiva.
Saludos Lenka.

Hello Lenka
A visually attractive shot that is well composed and focused. The POV and DOF are excellent. The colours are vivid and well saturated.I like the vertical feel to the shot, and the bright yellow flower in the OOF BG gives a sunny feel to the image.Well seen and captured.TFS
