Hello Peter,
Wonderfully clear portrait with fine composition, lighting and colours. Very good DOF, even the two tiny beetles on the top right flower petal are in focus!! Impossible to wish for a better ident shot of this lovely creature. Going to my favourites. Thanks.

Hi Peter,
What a colorful and outstanding presentation!
I'm delighted by the fine details got on this image, both on the flower and the butterfly.
The red spots on the insect's wings makes a vibrant contrast against the vivid yellow.
I like very much the layout and composition made on this presentation for ending the blue series...hope for a brief time!

die Kleinheit und Feinheit dieses Falters bringst du in deinem Bild gut zum Ausdruck.
Ganz besonders stimmt hier das Licht: Das Dunkelbraun des Falters ist bis in das hinterste Eckchen gut ausgeleuchtet - gleichzeitig sind aber auch die Strukturen und Oberflächen der hellgelben Blüte erstklassig erkennbar: Licht und Farben sind professionell ausbalanciert - ebenso auch der Schärfebereich.

Lieber Peter,
Du schliesst die Serie der Bläulinge mit diesem hübschen kleinen Falter. Er sieht niegel nagel neu aus und hat sich mit viel Geschmack auf eine gelbe Blume gesetzt um sich noch aufzuwerten! Heiteres und farbenfrohes Bild. Herzlichen Dank auch, dass Du uns die Vergleiche machst zwischen ähnlichen Sorten. Ich werde noch den einen oder anderen Bläuling bringen, bin aber noch unsicher, was die Bestimmung betrifft.

I have forgotten my colour wheel...and am not sure which colours are complimenting and such...but some of the butterfly looks orange and the flower yellow...it works without clashing and is sharp..so is an eye grabber yes?

Dear Peter,
I must admit my frustration at not being able to spend full time on TN since my return home from the Middle East. I have taken up an after-retirement job which demands a lot of my time. Consequently, I have now been deprived of the joy of looking at the great work of some of the most outstanding nature artists like you.

I love this beautiful capture of a Brown Argus. It is a well-composed image of this very colourful butterfly from Europe. Superb sharpness and clarity and a technically flawless capture.

Hope your wife enjoyed being in India as mush as you did. Dharamsala and especially Macleodganj (a.k.a. Little Tibet) has turned out to be a famous and exotic place in half the century since the Dalai Rama took residence here after leaving Tibet as an exile.
