Here is a plea to all members: I was pulling stills from my PV camera. While they are so sharp and clear on the TV screen (even when zooming in with the remote), the program from Panasonic, even when saved at the highest res, gives me no more than 120 kb size, roughly. Which is a shame, since I have a ton of pics on that cam taken from last years vacation, but didn't take a still camera with me. My wife took stills, but they are more suited for lens, since they almost always contain family and friends.
So anyone who knows how to get better quality stills from a DV cam, I would appreciate the input.

This could have been a nice photo with a good POV but unfortunately, I guess something went wrong with this shot. We see some pixels and it is not sharp. Do you have the settings of this photograph (speed, aperture, ISO...)? Regards,

very charming shot.
An immediate eye catcher from the thumbnail.
I think I have to go visit Schoenbrunn again.
Talking of the problem you mention in your notes and give a very good demonstration here: lack of resolution at DV cam stills.
I think there is no cure for pictures taken with very low resolution and high compression. That is a pity, but the only way out is never to use that kind of camera again for anything intended to be a precious document.
