This is picture of a grapevine snail (Helix pomatia).
This snail is not regular in Belarus.
You can find it only in a couple of places in Belarus. Usually near ancient castles, palaces or country manors. Former owners hundreds years ago brought these snails to Belarus from France :) There is no owners today, often no even castles and palaces. But snails remain and feel just great :)
This snail was captured near Radzivil Palace in the city of Nesvizh, Minsk region. |
