Little Egret
Egretta garzetta

The little egret is most widespread of the brushes. Slim and elegant body with the white plumage. Long neck and very lengthened black nozzle. Long black legs with the yellow fingers. At the time of the reproductions of 2 or 3 feathers decorate its nape of the neck and from fine feathers of approximately 20 cm are born on its shoulders, extend on the back and fall down on each side of the tail in elegant plumes. These feathers, called sticks, formerly were very coveted by the women for their decorative value, who were worth with these birds the name of brushes.

Joli portrait d'Aigrette garzette Guy. Le BG est un peu bruité mais les teintes sont douces. Belle attitude de l'oiseau. Mes félicitations Didier.

Hi Guy,
I think you got a beauifull shot of the egret. I liked the dark background against the white colour of the bird who is in the right place of the picture. Maybe the focus could be a little more accurate, (for my taste), But is a good shot anyway. Well done.

Hello Guy, Your POV for this profile is very good. It's well composed with good details and a good note. The bright light and shadow mix on whites is difficult to get right. Perhaps fill flash and a lower exposure bias would help next time. Well done.

Salut Guy.
Les blancs sont fortement sur-exposés. Par temps ensoleillé je règle toujours ma caméra à -1 ou plus pour éviter la sur-exposition (brûlure des blancs). Il est plus facile de "ramener" une photo sous-exposée alors que l'inverse est rarement possible, à moins de travailler avec des fichiers 'raw'.

Une bonne photo jouissant d'assez bon impact visuel. Une note complète et bilingue.

L'aigrette blanche est un de mes oiseaux préférés, vous avez su la mettre en valeur dans cette composition, bel expression et bon cadrage.
