Wonderful colours Kirsten!
Just amazing. I think your bee thought the same!
In Poland unfortunately are no bees, no sun, no swpring! It is a little snow and a lot of rain - and on tv told - frost is coming!!!!!

Nice post Kirsten, wonderful colours.
The details are fine and the composition is very well but the hot spots are a bit disturbing, Imho.

TFS! well done!

Must be nice to have that warm weather.
Excelent shot and well done on the composition.

Mike

Nice shot Kisten. Shiny wings & the great red of your small flowers make it work for me! Thanx.

Very nice close-up Kirsten. Nice colours and very good dof. The reflection in the wings look nice.

Hi Kirsten.
First the good news. This is a nice shot.I love the colour of the flowers.
The other news...I don't think this is a bee. It looks very much to me like a hoverfly, probably a drone fly of some sort. The difference is usually most apparant in the size and position of the eyes, and the way the wings are when resting. Did you see this flying? You might have noticed that it hovered and darted about rather than flying the way a bee usually does.
If you want a second opinion,Paul (PDP) is usually your best bet on this subject.
Cheers, Steve.

Wonderful (color)composition. The focus on the bee is a wee bit soft but the picture is really very nice. TFS!

Lovely colours Kirsten. Very good macro of the bee. Where has the bee been all winter? So clear and sharp. Well done.

Nice close-up, nice colours. Focus a wee-bit soft.
Well done.
TFS.

beautiful shot Kirsten,
Fantastic colours and composition.
I think Steve's right about it being a hoverfly and not a bee. However this is a great shot.
Thanks for posting

It's not a bee, it's a hoover fly

Pragtigm Kirsten
Like the slight underexposure here, well done.

Hi Kirsten, welcome back. It good to see you post again. Steve is right this is a hoverfly. Eristalis genus perhaps. Looks nice on the red flowers.
