I went for spider hunting, but i don't like spiders, i got myself together, went outside and found a spider. But only one, so anyone tips to find a spider?
This is a harvestmen, probely a Leiobunum, i'm not sure, because this brownish one i very hard to get the right identification, and i'm not a biologist...
i'm going to try to post this as LP, if i can figure out how....

Harvestmen do look a lot like spiders, but they are actually very different. They have two eyes only and those eyes are located on the front part of the body on some kind of small 'hill". Their body consists of just one element and that is a great difference compared to the bodies of insects, spiders and scorpions for instance. Harvestmen cannot make wires or webs. The best known harvestmen have very long legs (that is why they are also known as daddy long legs), but there are species with 'ordinary' legs as well. When threatened harvestmen are able to loose one or more legs. The leg remains on the floor, moving about quickly, thus trying to catch the attackers attention. This spider is probely probably a Leiobunum species.

This is a good start, Kirsten! i was also spider hunting last night, but no luck. Did you shoot these with your S5000? If so, send me the details.

This is a nice post of this weird critter. You have captured the details well in this set showing the different angles. Well done!

Opiliones or Harvestmen are arachnids (8-legged arthropods) but not spiders. Felipe did an excellent write up in his previous post here. It's worth a look.

I posted a daddy longlegs spider here if you are interested.

Nice picture Kirsten.
Good detail and a good note.
Well done.

Kirsten, You've done very well with a difficult subject (all those legs)! It's a nice presentaion with the two perspectives shown nicely. They are impossible to shoot in close with those so very long legs. Great note - Great job!

Excellent presentation with 2 POV of this insect so difficult to portray Kirsten.
Adapted frame and with sharpness and very good smooth and natural colorful one.
Surely you have not been able to include version LP, because the dimensions of the original one must have at least one relation from 2,5 to 1 and your image only has 2,41 (for example 800x320 and not 800x331 as in this case).
I hope to be able to see LP of other scenes pretty soon.

Very nice photo good details, I just think that a bit morer contrast could be great.

A great approach and different. Good capture.
I find the image a bit too busy.
All in all a nice composition.

Very good job you have done here Kirsten, I'm impressed at how these look considering you only used F2.8. Very well done and a good note too.

You are a brave girl! Dont to spend too much time with Gerhard as the ones he shoots, gives me shivers. Great shot and your DOF and color is great. This shot has a very natural feel about it, I like it lots.

Thanks for posting
