This is a slug, i found it on the mushroom, the gras was weat so i think he was drying up ;o) haha
it was very cloudy so used flash, no tripod.
here's some info about the slug:

Arion rufus

Discription:Slugs carry no shell. The most common slug, the Large Red Slug, comes in as many colors as the Garden Snails do. It is sometimes red or orange, but can be white, yellow, brown or black as well. You can easily recognize the Large Red Slug thanks to the rim between the body and the foot. The rim is red-orange independent of the color of the rest of the body.

Habitat: Gardens, fields, other disturbed sites and wooded areas near human activity.

Range: Western and central Europe

Name: Genus named after a Greek poet and musician. Species name meaning "red" or "reddish".

hope you like it!

An interesting shot. I assume the slug was eating the fungi. Nice crisp detail, pity about the grass frond covering the eye stalk. Good comosition and good use of the flash.

Yes,interesting and weird. The slugs foot pattern matches the edge of the mushroom.
Could possibly be sharpened a little.
Good overall though.

Good shot Kirsten! Composed well with some good detail..like the title. Almost cute in a slippery, slimy, strange kinda way!! I found it weird that our side by side posts today are High & Dry & Slippery When Wet.... :-)

Ewww, slimey gooey slug. Very well captured. With him so big and the fungi so small there doesn't appear to mushroom to spare.

Well done Kirsten.

Nice shot, a bit weird, but I don't know why...
Well done.

Now is this a slug shot, or a fungi shot. Very well done on both accounts. Excellent exposure.

Good POV, Kirsten. I should have remove the grass in front of the head of the 'thing' before to photograph it.
Good yaark factor! If it is a factor...
