I like your next portrait so much. Excellent cropping and presentation, great details and sharpness of the image. Perfect blurred and coloured BG and excellent reproduction of dark tones of the panther. I only has corrected (for my taste) gamma level. My compliments and TFS.

ik ben benieuwd of je dit AF of MF hebt scherpgesteld
bij mij werkt de AF niet perfect op een donker onderwerp

Hoi Annick,
Een mooi portrait, met perfecte scherpte in de vacht en een prachtige helder oog. Kleuren en crop zijn perfect. Alleen vind ik je bewerking van je achtergrond niet mooi. De randen rond de kop zijn ter duidelijk zichtbaar en zijn op sommige plekken zelfs overvloeid in de haren. Als ik het fout heb, wat ik eerlijk gezegd denk van niet, dan mijn verontschuldigingen, maar dan is er iets ergs vreemd aan de hand met deze foto.

Capturing detail and correct exposure on black subjects is never easy. Here you succeeded magnificently and what's more you caught a very particular expression. Beautifully captured and well done to keep the W/B off auto.

I know black or dark subjects are difficult, since I have tryed several times to shot a black bird but none of the pics worked...:-(
And the background here is dark too, but you did a great job here.
I like the details on the animal´s fur, head, and specially on the clear eyes.
I like also the way you composed this frame.

Very good sharpness and detail. You nailed the exposure of this black beauty as well.
Your consistant use of a wide aperture is again effective here, helping to blur any hint of captivity in the BG. (I think I see additional PP of the BG..yes or no?)..This intimate profile portrait is another excellent capture mf.
